Music researcher, reviver of ancient instruments, musician, and poet. His research focuses on the history of music and instruments in Iran and the Middle East. He sought to improve the working and living conditions of carpet weavers by inventing the "Carpet Maker" as a platform for the voice of carpet weavers.
In the field of reviving ancient instruments, Seifollah Shokri registered the Iranian harp on the list of Iranian intangible cultural heritage and donated it to a representative of the UN Secretary-General. He also worked with the UN-Habitat as the coordinator of the music department of the MERC-BLP for two years.
With an approach to promoting common human cultures, Seifollah considers music as a universal language for spreading peace in human societies. He proposed the idea of collecting and publishing mothers' lullabies and established the "Voice of Peace" Secretariat in cooperation with Iran’s ICOM (International Council of Museums).
He launched the "Voice of History" project in collaboration with ICOM and the United Nations of Iran, with the aim of creating peace in society and preserving the aural identity of the great masters of Iranian folk music as an intangible heritage of humanity. He met with these prominent Iranian music masters, recording and collecting their invaluable knowledge.
